A native of Bor, Serbia, Katarina lived in Eastern Europe and Toronto before making Guelph her home. Guided by a passion for ecological and human health and healing, Katarina has worked with small farmers, First Nations, and diverse cultural groups on community development issues. She wears many hats, including research consultant, creative writer, and Yoga teacher. Katarina has conducted workshops for environmental organizations on genuine facilitation, teaching that deep listening is an art that leads to inner change and growth. What Katarina loves most about her work is listening to the stories, hopes, and dreams of people concerned with improving their communities. Katarina holds a Master’s in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph and a certificate from the Young Conservation Professionals Career Development Program. Most recently, she has worked as community outreach coordinator for the Centre for Land and Water Stewardship and as a research consultant with First Nations communities. Thrilled to join the 10 Carden team, she can’t wait to see what happens when Guelph’s creative minds come together!
